V pátek 10. 11. 2023 od 19:00 proběhlo v Čítárně Kampusu Hybernská (salónek za kavárnou) uvedení čísla Plavu věnovaného současné „keltské“ poezii za přítomnosti a účasti badatele a národního gaelského barda Petera Mackaye, mmj. autora slavné básně Piksla:
„Na základce jsem opravdu měl pikslu – byla to stará tabáková piksla –, ve které jsem si schovával svou vlastní sbírku slov, jejichž pravopis jsem se musel naučit.“
Performance: Richard L. Kramár. Hudba: Radvan Markus, Jana Markusová a Ladislav Veselý (Conamara Chaos), tradiční irská hudba v moderním hávu. Překlady z irské poezie: Martin Světlík a Daniela Theinová.
Večerem provedla překladatelka, badatelka a autorka koncepce čísla Petra Johana Poncarová. Texty zazněly vedle původních jazyků také v angličtině a v češtině, rozhovor s Peterem Mackayem probíhal v angličtině.

Akce podpořil Státní fond kultury a Ministerstvo kultury ČR.

Friday November 10, 7 P.M., Čítárna Kampus Hybernská (Hybernská street 4) – launch of the issue of PLAV dedicated to contemporary poetry in Irish and Scottish Gaelic, featuring the academic and official bard of An Comunn Gàidhealach in 2023, Peter Mackay / Pàdraig MacAoidh, whose works include the famous poem “An Tiona” (The Tin):
“I did have a tin – an old tobacco tin – in primary school where I would keep my own personal stash of words that I had to remember how to spell.”
Performance: Richard L. Kramár. Music: Radvan Markus and Jana Markusová (Conamara Chaos), traditional Irish music in a modern garb. Translations from Irish: Martin Světlík and Daniela Theinová.
The evening will be hosted by translator and academic Petra Johana Poncarová, who is also the author of the issue concept. The poems will be read in the original languages and in Czech and English translations, the discussion with Peter Mackay will be held in English.
